What is paper recycling?

How is Paper Recycled?

  4. First the large machines at the mill shred the paper into small pieces. Then this mixture of paper, water, and chemicals is heated and the pieces of paper are broken down into fibers.
  5. The mixture is pressed through a screen to remove adhesives and other impurities.
  6. In the next step, the paper will be made into a cone-shaped cylinder to clean it, and sometimes even the ink is removed. At this point, the pulp is passed through a machine that sprays it onto a conveyor belt. Water drips through the belt’s screen, and the paper fibersbonding starts.
  7. Heated metal rollers are used todry the paper, and the paper will be put onto large rolls, which can be made into new paper products.
